What this site collects, why we collect it, and who sees it — in plain English.

Saga Haus is a small company. When you write to us, a person reads it — usually Gaby. This page explains what information passes through this website and through the work we do managing properties, what we do with it, and what we will never do with it. Property owners trust us with a great deal more than visitors do, so their section comes first.
Taking on a property means being trusted with things no website visitor hands over. Here is what that involves, honestly:
Your property and how to get into it. The address, gate and door codes, lockbox details, Wi-Fi credentials, utility and service accounts, vendor contacts, and the practical instructions a local team needs to clean, maintain and restock the place. We treat access details as need-to-know: they go to the people who need them to do a job at your property, and no further.
Financial and performance information. Booking revenue, nightly rates, occupancy, channel fees, cleaning and maintenance costs, invoices and statements, and the monthly performance reporting we prepare for you. Design clients also share photos, floor plans, budgets and goals for the property.
Payouts and banking. Where a platform or channel handles your payouts, your banking details are held by that platform and its payment processor rather than by us. Where we need anything else in order to pay you, we ask for the minimum required and handle it as your management agreement provides.
Onboarding documents. Whatever you send us to get a property live — ownership or authority to rent, permits and licences, HOA documentation, insurance certificates, existing listing exports, and any tax registration a listing channel asks for. We ask for what a channel or the work actually requires, and not for more.
Guest information that flows through your property. Running your listings means we handle guest names, contact details, booking dates and correspondence. That information belongs to the stay, not to a marketing list.
The contact form. When you send an enquiry through our contact form — whether you are asking about a stay or about having us manage your property — we receive your name, email, phone number and message. The form is operated by Arbor, the platform that runs this website, which stores the submission and emails it to us so we can reply.
The chat assistant. The floating chat window on this site is an AI assistant. Conversations with it are processed and stored by our site platform, and if you share contact details in chat — say, asking us to follow up about a cabin or about your own property — those details reach us as an enquiry, just like the form.
A little anonymous analytics. The site records the page you visited, the site that referred you, any campaign tags in the link you clicked (the URL's query string), and a first-visit flag kept in your browser's localStorage. That is the whole list. There are no advertising cookies, no cross-site tracking, and no profiles built about you.
Booking and the portal. Stays are booked through our booking site at sagahaus.holidayfuture.com, and guests and owners sign in at app.sagahausrentals.com. Those systems collect booking and payment details under their own privacy practices, and payment is handled by the booking platform's payment processor. Saga Haus never stores your card number on this website — or anywhere else.
To answer enquiries. To run the properties in our care — pricing them, listing them, cleaning and maintaining them, communicating with guests, and reporting to the owners we answer to. To deliver design work for the property it was commissioned for. To meet our accounting and tax obligations. And to understand which pages of this site are useful so we can improve it. We do not use your information for anything you would not expect from hiring a property manager or writing to a small business.
Visitor information is shared with the site platform that operates our form, chat and analytics; with the booking engine when a stay is booked; and with our email, where we read and answer messages.
Owner information goes to the people and systems needed to run the property, and nowhere else: the listing channels we place your property on, such as Airbnb, Vrbo and Booking.com; the booking engine and its payment processor; our pricing and property management tools; and the local cleaners, handymen and maintenance vendors who work at the property. Where the law requires us to disclose something, we do. Access details go only to the vendors who need them for that property.
Nobody is sold anything. We do not sell, rent or trade your information — guest or owner — and we never will. There is no marketing list you are quietly added to, no data broker on the other end of this website, and we do not use one owner's revenue or performance data to market to another owner without asking first.
How we handle your property's information is also governed by the management agreement or design services agreement you signed — confidentiality, what we may do with your data, what happens to it when the engagement ends, and who holds the listings afterwards. Where your agreement says something more specific than this page, your agreement controls. If you would like to know exactly what we hold for your property, ask and we will tell you.
We keep owner and guest information inside the business systems we use to run properties, reached by accounts that only we and the people who need them can sign into, and we share access details on a need-to-know basis. We are a small company using reputable third-party platforms rather than a bank: we are not going to claim a security certification or an encryption standard we cannot stand behind. If you ever have a concern about how something is being handled, tell us and we will explain what we actually do.
Enquiries and chat conversations stay in our records for as long as they are useful for answering you and managing your stay — it helps us to remember, a year later, which cabin you loved. Booking records, statements, invoices and owner reporting are kept as long as we need them for accounting, tax and the obligations we owe the property owners we work for. When an engagement ends, we keep what we are required to keep and what your agreement provides for. If you would rather we keep nothing, see the next section.
Email Gaby at gaby.pincombe@sagahausrentals.com and ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. We will do it — within what we must keep for accounting and tax, and what a live booking or a signed agreement requires — and we will confirm when it is done. For data held by the booking platform or a listing platform such as Airbnb or Vrbo, their own privacy tools and policies apply.
This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. Kids belong on the hiking trails, not in our contact form.
If our practices change, this page changes with them, and the date at the top tells you when. Meaningful changes will not be applied quietly to information we already hold.
